Our Story

Rapid Power Boxes was started by a Business Management Student at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology in Rapid City, South Dakota. When RPB was in the developmental stage of growing, every power box was built on campus until the company moved to Lead, South Dakota. Once RPB was ready for product releasement, the company made the move back to Rapid City, South Dakota where we opened our own workshop to start growing our help staff. Soon after the move back to Rapid City in 2021, we opened our very own 3D printing department which manufactures ice fishing glow cups, speed laoders, and other useful items in the outdoor industry. RPB is known for creating jobs in the Rapid City community and for up and coming engineering students from the School of Mines. With the ice season of 2022-23 approaching, RPB is excited to evolve the portable power industry further! Thank you for supporting a college student owned business!
